Present, The Old Must Go Before The New Can Come

Things in my house are breaking down one by one. First, the sound card from my PC was spoiled. This meant no Imeem visits and anime. Then my phone broke down such that the only thing I could do was call and SMS. Subsequently, the TV set died too. Not even channel 5 to watch. Our main sources of entertainment were cut of, so I resorted to books instead.

Dad was particularly frustrated with the situation and suggested an entertainment revolution-- get rid of everything that has spoilt and get brand new ones. The family agreed, after all he was the one paying (I have become a miser lately). Maybe this was a sign of doing away with the old and welcoming the new, as Chinese New Year is round the corner.

It's gonna be a tough year ahead as recession looms and the Middle East continues to be a war zone. I'm grateful that I will be enlisting soon as I wait for the economy to recover. It's my family that I'm worried about. Do hope we can get through these tough times. Maybe I am thinking too much again, the situation may not be as bad.
