Future, New Year Resolutions

It's time to do this again. I hope this time I really get to stick firmly to what I type.

1. Be more caring to my family and friends.
2. Be financially less dependent on my parents (that means find a way to get my own money).
3. Don't be so lazy, get out more and start exercising.
4. Start planning for the future (stop being so indecisive).
5. Make sure I help out with household chores when I'm in the house.
6. Don't die just yet.

Okay the last one is kinda not up to me to decide, but I think I should be able to fulfill the other resolutions. Yup, that's all for now.

Present, Just Too Weird

My day started off with a weird dream. I don't dream a lot, so something must have bothered me subconsciously. I dreamt that I was in a new school with totally new classmates. They were kinda strange as most were guys and the girls all sported short hair and wore shorts instead of skirts. The first lesson was on camouflage. Huh? Something was wrong, why am I learning this? Am I into some survival course? That couldn't be, I wasn't interested in this kind of stuff.

The lesson ended as suddenly as it had started, and I heard the next lesson was maths. As I waited eagerly, I felt something in my hair and excused myself to the toilet. I had a shock of my life, my hair was shortening by itself. I was already balding at the sides when I woke up from the nightmare.

Haiz, I must be worried about NS life as my date draws near. Seeing my friends slowly being enlisted one by one, I can't help but worry about the unknown.

Unable to sleep, I decided to go for a jog. After jogging about 300m, it started to rain all of a sudden. Luckily I was near a chinese temple and got shelter from the rain. After 5 minutes, the rain stopped. Really weird, is nature trying to hint something? That it is leading me to this place when I didn't have any intention whatsoever to come here in the first place. Is it trying to tell me to seek solace in this place, so that I can have a peace of mind when I get enlisted?

Maybe I just think too much, many people say I do.

Present, (1,2)E6 Class Gathering

2 outings in 3 days, 2 different experiences. While the 06 one was off-budget @ marina square, the E6 one was for the paupers. Of course money is not everything, I liked the E6 gathering much better even though the food wasn't as nice as Seoul Garden. I guessed I still liked my old friends better. Ah, long time no see.

Was surprised that more than half of the class turned out on a Sunday (who says everyone is busy in weekends?). Even more surprised that everyone came on time (within 30 minutes of the arranged time). Finally was so touched that everyone stayed together in a group and nobody went off in their cliques. Way to go E6.

And so we had lunch (steamboat buffet again) at a roadside eating house in Bugis. We must have gave the boss a shock when we all rushed to clear her food stock. But she should be laughing at the end having earned $200+ at one shot. With 10 people to a table the atmosphere was extremely rowdy, as if we owned the place to ourselves. Everyone was interested in how our friends were, and what better time to talk than over a 3-hour lunch.

After lunch, we went to the National Library and sat at the open space outside the building. Was again surprised no one rejected to this idea. I guessed everyone really had no extra cash. We were just too big a group and that worried the security guards as we were attracting too much attention sitting in a big circle. So we decided to take photos instead, but that also worried the guards. I wondered why are they so cautious about. Are they afraid we were some terrorists acting as youths but whose true motive was to get to know where is the best place to plant a bomb?

In the end, we resolved their worries by sitting in smaller groups scattered around the place. Naturally, the guys got together to have a men's talk. That's when I realised all guys have problems with their relationships with girls, is just that we don't talk openly about it in front of others. Haiz, we were emo-ing back there. Why are E6 guys so unsuccessful in relationships? Then we made a pact that we would be the best-man of each other when anyone of us guys marry. That, I must say, is so thoughtful.

The girls were more excited than the guys about going for NS. Why though? It's just a part of life for young men. Guys dread it most of the time, so we'd rather spend time talking about games and love.

Yes, E6 gathering was a simple affair, simple but memorable.

Past, Chapter 3: The 5-dollar Crush (Part 2)

Of course, that didn't work coz I had no God to pray to. When you are down and out, every bad thing had to happen to you all at once. I did something really bad that made Gim Hwa (uh hem, the teacher) reshuffle the seats for the whole class, so that my 'bad influence' (that's what Gim Hwa labels them) buddies were far away from me and those that I do not like so much were all around me. Yes you guessed it, she was among them.

My days got gloomier ever since. She was a tyrant, often snatching my file away to copy my work. Well, she did asked politely before taking it away, but I just didn't like it that she is making use of me to get her work done. Besides that, she would often borrow money from me to pay for the class fund, saying that she needed her money for other stuff and would return the next morning, which she always did.

Present, Post Christmas 06 Outing

Okay, 06 outing was a cozy affair. Judging from the response on facebook, I figured that few were going for it and boy, was I right. It looked like some double clique outing plus some 'outliers' like me. But I'm not complaining. After all it's always good to meet up once in a while and furthermore, there's gift exchange. The only downside was spending money when I'm financially dependent.

10 of us were divided into 3 groups, the early birds, the diners and just Ben. The early birds had a tough day as there were no movies to watch. Some of us had already watched Twilight and Yi Man, while other movies like Transporter 3 and Bedtime Stories were late night entries. So we turned to bowling but had to wait for at least 30 minutes. In the end, we settled for pool and arcade to kill time while waiting for the diners.

As cash-strapped youths 'stranded' in a place like marina square, dinner selection became all the more difficult. Since it was a Friday, dining places became even more expensive to dine in. Had to camp outside Seoul Garden since there wasn't a table for 10 at that moment. But no worries coz Ben have not arrived and we still had presents to exchange. Got an exquisite crystal ball thingy from Kai Wei.

Dinner was a Tian Sheng early birthday dinner in disguise as we 'forced' him to eat more than he normally could till his face turned red (was it really because of the food or his calls from someone special?). So that's it, no more late night escapades like what Melissa and Jasmine would do. We just chatted on our way to the MRT and went separate ways.

Going for E6 class gathering next. My dear wallet, please don't give up on me.

Present, Favourite Christmas Song

This is my favourite Christmas song, it's now on my playlist above. Enjoy!

Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow! originally by Vaughn Monroe

Oh the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we've no place to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

It doesn't show signs of stopping
And I've brought some corn for popping
The lights are turned way down low
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

When we finally kiss goodnight
How I hate going out in the storm
But if you really hold me tight
All the way home I'll be warm

The fire is slowly dying
And my dear we're still goodbye-ing
As long as you love me so
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Present, About NS Freshmen, Carefee Youths & Voyuerism

Hung out at White Sands and saw hordes of army men walking around. Then it sparked to me that it was Christmas Eve and they must have just booked out from Tekong. This reminds me of my friends who have enlisted earlier, so I sent them SMSes to ask how they had been. Seems like only Zen Hong had the energy to reply at that time. This was our SMS conversation:

Jaikun: how's army life?..
Virulence: Haha tough sia.. But can oso be fun at times haha
Jaikun: u book out liao?..
Virulence: Yea. Today book out tmr nite then book in
Jaikun: ic.. so do u know wats happening in e outside world?.. or do u juz train all day long?..
Virulence: Haha i m well inform of soccer news dun worry. Liv stil tops! Haha.. Got newspaper to read frm time to time if i got time haha :) dun worry i m not tat disconnected. Lol.. Heard got kls outing you going?
Jaikun: yes..
Virulence: Oic.. Haha Sry cant join you guys. Enjoy!
Jaikun: Nah, it's not ur fault.. enjoy ur day out as well..

When I was out shopping I realised 2 things-- Singapore is truly small as I bumped into friends wherever I went. Met (by chance) Miss Jiang @ Clarke Quay and then Elizabeth @ Citylink Mall. So because of that I realised there are many youths like me who haven't got a decent job, preferring to enjoy their last moments of school-free, job-free life.

And then, towards the end of my trip, I saw this:

Isn't that Murphy? And who is that girl? Is she from AJ? Never seen her before.

I know it's none of my business and I'm being a busybody by poking into their private lives. But when you are lazing around on the MRT with nothing to do and you suddenly see this, well you just can't help snapping a shot.

To be fair to them, I have erased the pic from my phone already and the only pic left is this one here. I will blog as much as I can until this entry is not on my front page.

Past, Chapter 3: The 5-dollar Crush (Part 1)

Do you catch a breath when I look at you?
Are you holding back like the way I do?
Coz I'm trying and trying to walk away
But I know this crush ain't goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
Goin' away-ay-ay-ay-ayy
~Crush by David Archuleta~

Foreword: This is an account of the past and does not in any way reflect my current status.

Many people asked me online whether I have a crush on someone because of the emo messages I have on my messenger profile. I always answered a flat 'no' although deep inside there always has been. I feared the awkwardness if it were to spread, as well as the possibility of a soured relationship if she were to know. I'm not gonna reveal who she is here (only 2 other people, perhaps 3, know about this), too bad.

To me a crush is a strong feeling of attraction towards someone. You just wanna be close to her, yet you don't want the person to ever find out that you like him. It was not a 'love at first sight' kind of crush, in fact, I didn't quite like her from the start. I could still remember the time when we were grouped together during civics and she gave me the 'I despise you' kind of look and laughed at every small mistake I made. From that day on, I prayed that I would never ever get to sit anywhere near her again.

Past, Chapter 2: CXtreme (Part 4)

In CXtreme you can find many different types of people. Our seniors were a weird bunch. They seemed to be acting in a skid when they are teaching us. There was once when our section head, Jason wanted to teach us the about the micromouse but forgot how to operate it. Then another senior would just pop up and start the micromouse (like a hero to the rescue) when Jason was looking helpless. However the senior would forget how to stop it and the same cycle repeats itself till every senior had a chance to demostrate a function of the micromouse. It was simply hilarious to see their confused looks when they 'forgot' how to make the micromouse work.

As for the juniors, there's the joker type like Dasmond. With him around, you will laugh at every minute. Then there's the intellectual type like Zirui who will always pop an IQ question to stump you and wouldn't give you the answer until the sessions. There's also the 'wo hu chang long' type like Kevin who usually remains quiet but surprising efficient. Basically, in CXtreme, we are like one family each with different personalities. I find CXtreme sessions enjoyable as I feel no barriers when talking with my fellow members.

Past, Chapter 2: CXtreme (Part 3)

Here's how a conversation between a JC1 AJCian and a CXtreme member will be like:

AJCian: Hey, what's your CCA?
Member: CXtreme lor.
AJCian: Sea Extreme? Whoa, there's a CCA for extreme sea sports in AJ meh? How come I've never noticed? That's so cool.
Member: Er, actually it's just...
AJCian cuts in
AJCian: So where do you guys train? Which beach?
Member: Er, we mostly train in school in the computer labs or at the tutorial room beside the Visual Arts room.
AJCian (bewildered): Oh, I know, sea sports are tough, so Year 1 members need to learn the basics first before going for the real thing right?
Member: Er, actually CXtreme is...
AJCian cuts in again
AJCian: Can you bring me to your training sessions? I wanna see if sea sports are my cup of tea.
Member: Okay.
Brings AJCian to the computer labs
AJCian (more bewildered): Hey why are you guys learning photoshop? It's not even related to sea sports.
Member: THAT'S WHAT I'VE BEEN TRYING TO TELL YOU. CXTREME IS COMPUTER CLUB.
AJCian: Chey, why didn't you tell me earlier?
Member ends up fuming.

The conversation highlights the fact that CXtreme ain't the most popular CCA in AJ, but that doesn't mean I've regretted joining. Because of the relatively smaller intake, the members had already got to know each other after the first session. Our fun-loving seniors came up with many interesting games and forfeits (far better than the ones during orientation) and shown their love (home-made cookies) just to make our first session memorable.

Present, Alcoholic

It's been a long time since my whole family got together to dine outside on a weekday, thanks to mum and dad needing to clear their leave. Finally we can spend some quality time all day long. Went to Kopitiam @ Compass Point to dine. I have not come here for a long time and am so not surprised to see some changes. The new Kopitiam is.. well, still kinda similar to the old one in layout. They changed the ambience so that it's not so gloomy and the tables and chairs are lighter and smaller to accomodate more customers. That certainly did the trick as we managed to find seats in no time at all.

I've recently been addicted to something that's so bad, it's only restricted for people above 18. It's... alcohol. Ever since the chalet when I tasted Jasmine's Vodka and champagne, I've been trying to test my limits whether how much percentage alcohol I can take. Mum says dad's a bad drinker but she can hold hers pretty well. I must have inherited her genes I guess, now I can accompany mum when she drinks. So when I requested that we buy some alcohol after dinner, I was surprised mum didn't rein me down with her health talk on the consequences of alcohol.

That came with one condition, and that was mum would be the one choosing what to buy. So, while I looked hungrily at the Vodka, mum chose Choya (as in the one in which an armed samurai drank and shed her armour to reveal a woman in kimono).

With great power comes great responsibility. Being above 18 years meant that there are lots more things my parents would 'push' me to do. For the past year, they have been asking me to help them buy 4D. Most of the time I would make the cut, but sometimes the dealer would demand I show my IC. This time it was me to foot the bill again, as those 3 just stood outside to wait. This was always a exciting experience for me, waiting to see if people thought I was mature enough. Again, I have succeeded, I must look older now.

Past, Chapter 2: CXtreme (Part 2)

Anxiety got the better of me for the next few days as none of the trio had called me. What will happen if I had no CCA? Will they just dump me into any CCA that had vacancies? Then my JC life will be a miserable 2 years. Please let them call me. Please.

Thank goodness (notice I didn't type god), we received the calls at the fifth day after the orientation. Actually it was the Table Tennis people who SMSed first before the CXtreme dudes called. But since we agreed on the fastest call first (not SMS), CXtreme was our choice. And so we had a brand new CCA with a cool name. I am starting to feel that I belong to this college already. Woohoo!

Past, Chapter 2: CXtreme (Part 1)

These are the criteria for choosing the right CCA for me:

1. I wanna learn a new skill.

2. It must not take up too much time (1-2 sessions per week will be fine).

3. It must provide me with opportunities to use the new skills I've learned (competitions, teaching juniors, etc).

Having these criteria in mind, I ventured off with my buddy Hao Zi to find the right CCA for us. After hours of finding out about the various CCAs and asking friends for their opinion, we finally signed up for Table Tennis, Wushu and CXtreme. We decided that we will enrol in the CCA that called for us first. And so we waited...

Past, Chapter 1: First Impressions (Part 4)

Jasmine: National Shooter. Was real shocked when I found out coz she doesn't look like one at all. I always thought national players are da pai and arrogant (guess I'm stereotyping) but Jasmine is humble and a bit xiao nu ren. I'm not surprised by her Espirit glasses and Crumpler bag. Can't believe I have a celebrity classmate!

Gladys: Seriously I think her voice doesn't suit her. How should I put it? Well, if you just let me listen to her voice, I would not have imagined her appearance to be that of Gladys. Shall stop at that, don't wanna yue miao yue hei. She likes to exaggerate jokingly and hates it the most when people laugh at her.

Hwee Lin: If Amanda was number 1 in studies, she would probably be number 2, minus the excessive mugging. A person who cannot stop talking once a conversation has started, but sometimes what she says is food for thought.

Qian Hua: We sat at the same GP table. Songbird. Girls are normally good at singing but hers was a notch better. Her simple humming was kinda solid already. I am in awe. Potential superstar.

Kai Wei: Gives me the feeling that he wouldn't study until the last minute. For now, he focuses on other aspects of life. 4 years in a boys' school must have bored him so much that he got himself a girlfriend right after orientation. People say guys from boys' schools are pretty dirty-minded. That is the case for Kai Wei.

Tian Sheng: Do people from Swiss Cottage tend to slack a lot? I certainly see Tian Sheng possessing this trait. I do envy people like them-- to be able to slack but still get good grades when it mattered the most. He believes in understanding the concept rather than plain memorising. Way to go man!

Zen Hong: A linguistic guy who loves rock music. He's a decisive person who is clear of what he wants and stands firm (gives Swiss Cottage a better name). I like his jokes-- they are the ones that only people of certain educational level can understand, very high-class.

Charlie: I know Charlie the least because he's always sitting so far away. My impression of him is that he knows a lot of people. During breaks, when I sit close enough I would hear him talk about a different friend. Rather 'shameless' in praising himself. I didn't say it's a bad thing, don't think too much.

Arif: I always liked Malays for their active and humourous ways, Arif is no exception. With him around, your days will never get dull. He's extremely disciplined-- he never stays out late and spend excessively like some people do.

Jeremy: I always admired his physical and mental strength for as long as I can remember. He never seem to tire out even with such a busy schedule. Even more surprising is how a small physique like his can endure 6 years of outdoor activities. I guess a lot has got to do with his faith.

Nicholas: Some people say he's random, as in saying things unrelated to the conversation suddenly. Well, I say he's just straightforward. If he wants to express somthing, he will just say it rather than keep it to himself. He's a great guy, just undecisive at times.

Present, The Formosa Vacation

Vacation's where I wanna be
A buddy on the beach
where the fun is free

We don't need a holiday to start to celebrate

Repeat after me, 'I need a vacation'
~Vacation by Vitamin C~

Spent 7 days at the Formosa, otherwise known as the main island of Taiwan. Started out tired coz it was a midnight flight and the tour started out early the next morning. Amidst the cold weather (about 18 degree Celsius), we started the day with the so-called bullet train. Well I was kinda disappointed because it was not any faster than the regular MRT train here in Singapore. The only difference was the spacious personal seats that you get for twice the MRT fare. Because Taiwan is a mountainous region, you can get to places faster with the train travelling through mountains. Thus you can go from Tao Yuan to Taipei in half the time as compared to travelling on the road.

Okay enough of me blabbering about my vacation. I don't wanna write about all the 7 days or this blog will get extremely long. This vacation was a scenic one, so let the pics and videos do the talking:

First up is the Yeliu Stone Park
, for a place made entirely of stone and water, it sure is pretty. Check it out.

Another scenic region that I would like to highlight is the Taroko Gorge. Again an entire region of stone and water, but nevertheless a difference experience.

A great big hole in the ceiling, like in the kungfu shows where heroes are trapped and trained till they are strong enough to 'fly' through the hole.

A monastery in the middle of the mountains, now I know where the movies get their scenery from.

The tour leader say the sun rises from between the two mountains, it’s a pity I didn’t get to see it first hand.

Some other random pics:

From a pet shop at Taipei 101

The mineral water brand: “Drink More Water” Lol..

One thing I don’t like about Singapore is the banning of fireworks. It’s really awesome to light them under the night sky. Watch the videos and you will know what I mean:

All in all, I like the 100+ free TV channels, especially Channel [V], a lot of fabulous music and MVs. The people there are also very friendly, especially the shopkeepers, who are ever so enthusiastic even when you don’t buy a thing. Singaporeans should learn a thing or two about service from them.

Past, Chapter 1: First Impressions (Part 3)

As the days passed, the first impressions of the individuals of the class were formed. Here's how it would look like in words:

Amanda: PW mate. The guys from 4E2 weren't lying. She's really damn independent and intelligent. Choir and studies ain't pulling her down. I must say her drive to succeed is so strong, it's scary.

Shu Fen: Chinese group mate. I guess she's kinda the opposite of Amanda (not that she's stupid and dependent). CO (as in Chinese Orchestra, not carbon monoxide) must have pulled her down, coz she always hands in the
zuo wen and lian xi late. She's humourous and always cheerful even when the going gets tough.

Hui Min: Got the slow-mo feeling, it's kinda cute actually. Every time she speaks I get the feeling that there's some kind of hidden meaning in her words.

Lee Miang: Kai Wei ain't liking her one bit. To each his own ba. I feel Lee Miang has some secret power that attracts girls, not guys.

Gina:
Da jie da image. Joining ODAC probably enhances that image. Sometimes I'm scared to walk close to her, sometimes it ain't that bad. She seems to favour girls more than guys, I guess that's what da jies do.

Xanthe: Mysterious, always first to go after school. Ever so busy with her PDA. Wears chic glasses by the way. Did I mention nice bag and hairstyle too? Like her fashion sense.

Melissa: Got the wild factor, comfortable with anybody. Talented in many areas, the more obvious ones are dancing and Japanese.

Michelle: Face of sorrow. Maybe she always looks like that. Maybe she's just pessimistic.

Mun Chee: Wow, she can really move it in cheerleading sessions (I never peeped). Always so cheerful, always laughing when I say something normal. Am I that funny?

Syafeeqah: PW mate. Has the weirdest handwriting I have ever seen. I dunno how to describe it-- the letters alternate in size but still remain neat. Great music taste (she introduced me to Closer by Travis). Sometimes she has that slow-mo feeling like Hui Min.

Ying Hui: I have told Ying Hui my first impression of her before and I will do it again here. She gives me the feeling that she has experience in many kinds of things. I see many people go to her for advice when they are troubled. I go to her as well when I have problems of the heart (but that's another story).

Yi Fang: Surprisingly hardworking and self-sufficient. While others are trying hard to cope with homework and CCA, she seem to be coping really well.

Present, Back Home

Yay home sweet home. My trip to Taiwan was an eventful one with ups and downs. The downside was that I was sick at the last day of the tour (I still am now). So I'm putting my thoughts on hold first till I get better. For now, let's continue with yet another excerpt from my diary..

Present, Leaving

After years of watching Taiwanese serials and entertainment shows, I'm finally going to the place where it all started. It sure feels good to go on a holiday after a hectic JC life. For all those who will miss me in this week that I'm gone, I thank you. Bye, off to the airport now (haven't seen terminal 3 yet).

Past, Chapter 1: First Impressions (Part 2)

There's nothing wrong being in a class dominated by girls. But Kai Wei said it like it was the end because there were no chio girls here. I felt that it was not that bad, even if it is, it's okay coz then I wouldn''t get distracted :) Class list came a few days after so I tried to match the names with the faces. Here's my result:

Amanda: 4E2 told me too much about her, why is she here anyway? Should be in RJ or HCI.

Shu Fen: Was she the one TianSheng like to make fun of?

Hui Min: No problem with that.

Lee Miang: Er.. Wait, I'm not sure. Let's go down the list first.

Gina: This I know, the tall one with short hair.

Xanthe: Such a unique name, Mr Mohan said something like Zen-na-ty, so I can't have not know who she is.

Melissa: The not so tall one (shall not be mean).

Michelle: Of course I know, piece of cake.

Mun Chee: The cheerful girl, really couldn't believe she's named Mun Chee. Does her family own the biscuit brand?

Syafeeqah: There are only 2 Malays, so this one is easy.

Ying Hui: Talkative. Another Ying Hui, 3rd friend with the name so I need a word to describe her.

Yi Fang: Sorry, is she the one that is close to Ying Hui?

Jasmine: Heard she's kinda famous in same sport, wonder what?

Gladys: Are you kidding me?

Hwee Lin: Class Treasurer.

Qian Hua: Last name already, I crossed out the rest, that leaves you.

Guys: Like I said, guys are few in numbers, I know them all on the first day.

Future, The Purpose

There are several reasons why i opened this blog:
1. To relive the past and revive some of my memories in JC.
2. To update on what I'm doing during this period of 'no school, no NS', that's the present.
3. Countdown till my birthday (Subsequently, NS as well). The Future.

Being such a nice friend, I cannot forget that Gina's birthday is 1 day earlier. I guess I should get something for her as well. Who knows? With a friend living so close by, she may just pop up and 'demand' something from me, lol..

So, expect fewer posts in this Future section coz there's really not much to blog about here.

Present, Missing you people

Prom was just over yesterday. All those farewell videos made me realise I may never see my college mates again. If the farewell assembly was' goodbye', then the prom would have been adios, ciao, sayonara, zhai jian, cherio (aiya you know what I mean). I will miss you people, especially 06/07 and CXtreme. JC life would have been much tougher without you guys.

Perhaps that 'missing you' feeling is amplified by the tekong 'holiday'. Yep, free 2 year stay at the 'resort' with 24 hours unlimited access to all parts of the island. Trust me, it sounds attractive but i ain't too keen.

The feeling just got a whole lot worse with me leaving this place. Uh huh, I'm going away. Sorry guys if you are planning some outing during this period of time. Well, family is just as important as friends and we have never gone overseas for quite some time liao. I will miss you guys, sobz.. Wish all my friends a wonderful experience ahead! Hope we can meet again some time

PS: Sorry Zen Hong and Gabriel, didn't give you guys a proper farewell before you guys go on your budget 'holiday'

Past, Chapter 1: First Impressions (Part 1)

06/07 was the class I was assigned to. Only a few 'survivors' from my PAE class 07/07 made it here. Well, change is everywhere, I accepted the change. As I walked along with Zen Hong, Tian Sheng and Kai Wei to designated room at block 11, I noticed stark differences in this class. While my PAE class was yin shuai yang sheng, this was yin sheng yang shuai. The moment I saw Jeremy I knew this was meant to be (coz he was my classmate for 2 previous years). I was already accustomed to this, having had experienced worse disproportion (not that of chlorine) in my upper secondary years.

It seemed that more than half of this class had already known each other. Ice-breakers became ineffective, partly because Mr Seet made it nice and slow-- time was up before we had even got started (Lol). In the end, it was Ms Yeo who actually got the class to know each other better.

Prologue

The past holds memories that cannot be duplicated
The present cannot be hindered by the past
The future lies in what you do in the present

I failed in the past
I try again in the present
I hope that it would succeed in the future

Presenting my countdown...
