Past, Chapter 3: The 5-dollar Crush (Part 4)

I had to confirm my feelings, so I pondered on it for a while. It seemed that I was subconsciously doing homework for her sake rather than for myself. Even dreadful subjects such as the humanities do not seem to be dreadful anymore if I was doing homework for her. Somehow, I didn't like to see her disappointed face every time she found out she had nothing to copy from me. Conversely, I liked it when she pulled me close and asked me to solve those tough maths questions.

Homework aside, I realised I tend to stay back late in school. The main reason for this is to study in a conducive environment while waiting for my friends from other classes. But I suspect there is another reason-- to get to see more of her. Her unrelenting copying of homework and borrowing of money didn't seem like a big problem anymore. Instead, it was the ticket to get to communicate with her. And so I confirmed that I had a crush on her.
