My life became more meaningful after that realisation. Everyday became a day of getting to know her better. Everything about her became pleasant. Above all, I was mesmerised by her smile. I guess I like girls who smile a lot (not every girl's smile is pleasing to the eye), they make me want to stay close to them and I feel as happy too.
Homework was done not just for my own good but for her as well. After all, almost half of the work she copied was from me. That's why I would always go the extra distance, especially in maths, to produce neat, quality work that evryone was so in awe of (this habit must have continued on to JC as well). I had hoped that my work would become the bridge that connects me to her, not just in studies alone, if you know what I mean.
This feeling was short-lived as the 'O' Levels drew near. I started to emo about the possibility of going separate ways in the midst of my revision. I had to ask for her number, that was the only way to stay in touch. The class list didn't show her handphone number nor her email address. Obviously, she had issues about giving her personal information to casual friends. Do I stand a chance?
