A week into no-school, independent life and I start to understand why adults always say it is better to study than work. You may think I'm out of my mind, but I liked studying in school. Why? Because transportation and food are driving me crazy. My EZ-link magically charges adult fare and I must say food outside ain't cheap. Now, a regular trip out for lunch takes about $5. How I wish I was still a student, with my meals taken care of at the canteen and no financial worries. Started to appreciate student meals and AMK Hub movie tickets.
Above all, I need not plan so much while I was in school, everyday was routine-- go school, mug, go home. For now, I need to plan what I'm gonna wear, which route is cheapest, where to eat cheaply. School is like a second home (Zhonghua spirit), really. You get to meet friends everyday and hang out. Now, hanging out needs some consideration because, eh hem, it costs a lot.
Okay, no school isn't all no good. At least I get to spend smartly (those home economics lesson do come handy) and have more choices to make which is a good thing (can put my P&C skills to good use here).
