Okay, it’s not really a E6 gathering, just a special few of my E6 friends getting together. Somehow, I liked small group gatherings (4 to 8 people, mixed) better than big class ones. Because we really get to interact with each other rather than staying in our cliques. Special thanks to (drum roll, please) Gabriel, Hao Zi, Sihao, Teck Ghee, Wei Sheng, Elizabeth, Jasmine, Naomi and Rebecca for including me in your gatherings as well as attending these events even though I know you are all busy people.
It seems that Tekong is a sad place to be in as my buddies always long to meet up with friends after they are ‘released’. First, it was Gabriel, who proposed to meet on early January. Then, barely a month later, Hao Zi, the January freshmen, suggested another. Of course I went, I wanted to know more about NS myself. And so we met again, this time, Gaby, SH, 38, Jas and Rebecca came along.
As ‘outing veterans’, our gatherings became less and less expensive, yet more and more fun. We dined at Heartland Mall (whoa Cosmos cheap ar, less than 7 bucks and no GST) before heading to Rebecca’s home for some games. Rebecca’s home is something between a condo and a terrace. We got a pleasant surprise when we got there as her mum pleasantly gave us angpows, even though it’s not yet CNY.
Played Nintendo Wii together. It was my first time playing and I must say it is kinda weird to know that the controller you are holding can detect your slightest movement. I remembered Nicholas PW project about the Wii and its health benefits. If you wanna lose weight through Wii, I think its impossible, because you can just sit comfortably on the sofa and only move your hands.
We shifted next to the ‘Heart Attack styled’ ‘Level Pig’ game and then Monopoly. All of them are multiplayer games, so no one was left out. I don’t know about you guys but I sure had fun. This kind of activity ain’t that difficult to organise, I wonder why 06 didn’t have this. I really had a fun-filled Saturday, and I even got more money than I started from.
